Mike Ryan – President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Mike Ryan is President and CEO of Comcar Industries.  He was appointed to that position in 2017. Ryan has more than 35 years of experience in freight transportation, including leadership roles in the truck, class 1 rail, inland marine barge and coastwise ocean shipping sectors.

Prior to joining Comcar, Ryan was President and CEO of US Shipping Corp, a provider of long-haul marine transportation for petroleum and chemical cargoes in the U.S. coastwise trade.  Before that, he was President and CEO of American Commercial Lines,  an inland marine transportation company that also manufactures barges and ships liquid and dry cargo products in its own fleet.  Prior to that, he held senior leadership positions with CSX Transportation.

Bill Braman – Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Bill Braman is Chief Operating Officer of Comcar Industries.

Prior to joining Comcar, Braman was Chief Operating Officer at Commercial Barge Line Co. and  Senior Vice President at American Commercial Lines.  Before that he held several management positions with CSX Transportation, most recently as director of real estate.

Michele Baum – Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Michele Baum is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Comcar Industries.  She was appointed to that position in 2018.  Baum has nearly 30 years of experience in the trucking industry.

Prior to joining Comcar, Baum was Chief Financial Officer with Raven Transport, and previously Vice President of Finance for Cypress Truck Lines.  She is a graduate of the University of North Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.  In 2017, Baum was recognized by the Jacksonville Business Journal with the Ultimate CFO Award in Transportation.

Sharon Jones – Vice President of Information Technology & Project Management

Sharon Jones is Vice President of Information Technology & Project Management for Comcar Industries.  She was appointed to this position in 2018.  Jones has more than 35 years of experience in the transportation industry, primarily in IT.

Before joining Comcar, Jones was Vice President of Information Technology for American Commercial Lines, an inland barge company.  Prior to that, she spent more than 20 years with CSX Transportation, rising to the position of vice president of applications.

In addition to her executive employment positions, Jones established and managed her own management consulting firm, PPT Solutions.  She has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Louisville and an MBA from Jacksonville University.

Eric Crossman – Vice President; Corporate Counsel, Human Resources & Risk Management

Eric Crossman is Vice President; Corporate Counsel, Human Resources & Risk Management for legal for Comcar Industries. He was appointed to this position in 2019.

Before joining Comcar, Crossman served in various legal, human resources and risk management roles with Patriot Rail Company for five years.  He received his Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law and his Bachelor of Business Administration from Castleton University.

Matt Staniszewski – Senior Vice President, Business Development

Matt Staniszewski is senior vice president of business development for Comcar Industries.  He was appointed to this position in 2017.

Staniszewski is a veteran of Comcar, having worked in several of the company’s divisions and in different management roles within each.  He joined Comcar through an acquisition in 1990, and has served as senior director, executive vice president and division president.

Before joining Comcar, he was in the manufacturing sector of business with Nichols – Homeshield, an aluminum processor and manufacturer.  When that company began a subsidiary truck Line – Transhield – he moved into operations where he helped the brand grow to 150 units.

Steve Reid – President, CT Transportation

Steve is president of Comcar’s CT Transportation subsidiary.  He was appointed to that position in 2004. He was more than 30 years of experience in the trucking industry.

In addition to his current role at Comcar, he also served as Vice President, overseeing four operating companies involved in flatbed, dry van, tanks and specialized trailing equipment.

Before joining Comcar, Reid spent 15 years with the Schilli Companies as General Manager of its flatbed division.

Before joining Comcar, he was in the manufacturing sector of business with Nichols – Homeshield, an aluminum processor and manufacturer.  When that company began a subsidiary truck Line – Transhield – he moved into operations where he helped the brand grow to 150 units.

Bo Littleton – Vice President & GM, CTL Transportation

Bo Littleton is Vice President & General Manager, CTL Transportation.  He was appointed to this position in 2019.  CTL is Comcar’s liquid tanker truck subsidiary.  He brings more than 24 years of industry experience to this position.

Prior to joining Comcar, Littleton was most recently Vice President/GM at Coal City Cob.  There, he led sales and operations initiatives that reorganized and restructured the company’s terminals into an optimized centralized dispatch model.  Before that, Littleton held positions in tanker dispatch, terminal management and transport management with Groendyke, A&R, Liquid Transport and Transport Service.

 

Chris Shepherd – Vice President of Purchasing and Fleet Management

Chris Shepherd is Vice President of Purchasing and Fleet Management for Comcar Industries.  He was appointed to this position in 2019. Chris brings nearly 25 years of transportation experience to his new role, where he will be responsible for corporate-wide purchasing and management of the company’s trucking assets.

Prior to joining Comcar, Chris was with American Commercial Lines for nearly 10 years, most recently serving as Vice President of Commercial Services.  In that position, he planned and executed the startup of new boat, barge and warehouse operations in Chicago, Ill. Before that, Chris held various leadership positions within CSX Transportation.

Chris has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Georgia Southern University.

 

Todd Zellner – Vice President & General Manager of Commercial Truck & Trailer Sales (CTTS) and Fleet Management Services (FMS)

Todd Zellner is Vice President of General Manager of Comcar Industries’ full-service tractor and trailer parts and repair shop (CTTS) and truck mechanic operations (FMS).  He has more than 35 years of experience with Comcar, beginning as a Trailer Tech with the CTL Transportation division in 1982. Todd rose through the ranks over the years, including Supervisor for CTL, Fleet Area Manager for five terminals and to his current position in 2015.
